Day 1– -Guatemala/Antigua-
Arrive any time.
Transfer to Antigua Guatemala.
Overnight: Antigua Guatemala.
Day 2– -Volcano Tour-
In the afternoon we will hike one of the most actives volcanoes in Guatemala, Pacaya.With a height of only 2,500 meters (8,200 ft) above sea level, it is relatively easy to climb and affords a truly spectacular view from the top. If weather permitting, you'll admire a spectacular sunset and other surrounding volcanoes.

Day 3– -Tour of Antigua-
At 9:30 am we start of the Walking Tour through Antigua Guatemala (commonly referred to as just Antigua or La Antigua). The city is famous for its well-preserved Spanish Mudéjar-influenced Baroque architecture as well as a number of spectacular ruins of colonial churches. a leisurely walk around this World Heritage Site. The tour focuses on the city's history, cultural trends and restoration efforts. We visit the City Hall Palace, Palace of the Captain's General, the Cathedral with its majestic ruins, Antigua's unique cultural lifestyle, Maya archeology through the spiritual stone of jade, and the best museums in town at Paseo de los Museos. At 2:30 pm shuttle from Antigua to Panajachel, Lake Atitlan one of “the most beautiful lake in the world” Alexander von Humboldt. The blue-crystaline lake is surrounded by 12 Mayan villages where you will see how the descedents of the Mayans still have a traditional culture that’s very much alive to today. Arrival at 5:30 pm.
Relax the rest of the afternoon.
Day 4– -Lake Atitlan/Tour of San Juan, San Pedro and Santiago Atitlan-
This morning we will take the motor launch to the Mayan villages of San Marcos, San Juan and Santiago, learning about the culture, traditions and folklore. Explore each town, get in touch with locals, see a first hand demostration and discover how a womens weaving cooperative continues the traditional methods of dying thread with native plants. Continue to Santiago, the major town in the lake, the most famous Mayan Tzutujil village, where you can meet naif painters, learn about their “cofradias and Maximon”. Tour starts at 8:30 am and ends at 3 pm.

Day 5– -Chichicastenango Market/Antigua-
Today depart to Chichicastenango, a traditional Mayan Market. Maya craft sellers from across the highlands set up makeshift booths around the central plaza, spilling over on to sidewalks, the church steps, and up various side streets. A broad selection of Guatemalan handicrafts is available, including carved-wood masks and religious figures, ceramic wares, and an immense selection of the country's amazing native textiles. After visit the two catholic churches and the museum where a Popol Vuh (Mayan Bible was found). A short visit to the “morerias” and Pascual Abaj stone idol will give you an idea of Mayan ceremonies that are being held by “chamans” and locals.

Day 6– -Antigua/Copan, Honduras/ Tour of Copan Ruin-
An early shuttle from Antigua to Copan town in Honduras. In the afternoon depart for a Walking Tour of the World Heritage Site of Copan. This site is considered to be one of the most impressive cities of the ancient Maya Civilization. Copan was known for its advancements in arts and astronomy and has been called "the Athens of the new world." Explore the site and be amazed by the beautiful ruins which have some of the most impressive pre-Columbian art anywhere
Day 7– -Quirigua/Rio Dulce-
Have breakfast before continuing on to Quirigua National Park.This UNESCO World Heritage Site features impressive archaeological remains, including the largest stela known in the Mayan area, standing 11 meters (36 feet) tall, and massive zoomorphic monuments carved on boulders and covered with glyphs. After a short visit, continue to Rio Dulce River.
Overnight: Rio Dulce
Free morning at the lake and at noon we depart to Guatemala City Aiport where you take a domestic flight to Flores, Peten.
Day 8– -Tour of Rio Dulce/Livingston-
This morning, you will board the motor launch to take you on a cruise through the Rio Dulce canals and lagoons for a closer view or this region's amazing water flora and fauna. A truly awesome inspiring experience. Later arrive to the caribbean town of Livingston, a lively Afro-Caribbean town.Tour this brightly, charming town, have lunch at the one of the many side walk cafes & restaurants. Return to Rio Dulce.

Day 9– -Rio Dulce/Peten-
At 9 am transfer from Rio Dulce to your hotel in San Jose, Peten at the shores of Lake Peten Itza; offering a unique and private access to the second largest lake in Guatemala and the nature that surrounds it.

Day 10– -Yaxha Mayan Site Tour-
Transfer from your hotel to the Mayan Site of Yaxhá (pronounced ya-shaw). Yaxha, which translates to "Blue Green Waters", sits between two beautiful lakes and it is one of the largest Mayan sites in Guatemala and has nine plazas and more than 500 buildings. In this tour, visitors have the chance to admire sacred roads, the observatory, several huge acropolises, and numerous temple pyramids, including temple 216, the highest temple in Yaxha with a breathtaking view over the lake. English speaking guide, entrance fee and box lunch.

Day 11– -Tikal Archaeological Tour-
Free morning. This afternoon travel to the ancient Mayan city of Tikal. Situated in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation, lies one of the major sites of Mayan civilizationis one of the largest archaeological sites of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. Free morning for relax by the pool or visit the museum. In the afternoon, Sunset Walking Tour throughout the ruins with English speaking guide. The site contains some of the most fascinating archaeological remains of the Great Mayan Civilization. Archaeological Tour visiting the Twin-Pyramid complex, the Lost World Complex, Temple III, the Palace of the Windows, the Great Plaza, the Pyramid of the Grand Jaguar, the Pyramid of the Masks, and the Palace of the Nobles. Have the opportunity to climb to the top of Pyramid IV, the highest of the Mayan pyramids, from which you will have a complete view of Tikal and its surrounding jungle. After your tour, enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 12– -Mystical Tour of Tikal/Flores-
Before sunrise follow your guide through in the silence of the jungle. A 45 min trek through the rain forrest to get to Temple IV. At the top, you will see the whole Tikal area, the rain forest canopy, and a few of the other pyramids, all slightly shrouded in mist. As the sun begins to rise, birds began to call from all directions, followed by howler monkeys waking up. As the sun makes its slow climb on its patch to its zenith, the fog begins to burn away, the canopy is glowing, alive with life, the other temples glimmering in the early morning sun. Continue to visit other areas in Tikal, this tour puts especific emphasis in Astronomy. Return to hotel, enjoy a healthy breakfast.
At 2:30 pm shuttle back to Flores
